Manic
How you would
rush in
unexpected
with odd tasks
you were needing
to complete
do I have
a large pot
at 6 AM
for your sauce
with mussels
and clams
or the day
you drove
to NYC
and back
dumping the raw
ingredients
of a pizza
on the counter
for us to admire
and assemble
we enjoyed
the pizza
despite
your constant
talking
a running
fl ood
of words
having
nothing
to do
with
our conversation.
