vibrate water          membrane oil sheen
                                                                puddles
                                                                underneath breathe
                                             of course, of course
                                                      everything smothered    used to
breathe
                                                    devouring the rain
                                                 echoes swallowing rings
                                                                                       snake &
rat
                                                                                         no  two
heads
                                                                             but resolution
                                                                                                (as
always
                                                                                                just
the next

            day      extended
not
in this alley
where I leave
         empty shelves
          broken chair
                                        only drainage
